Petition for Exception

Your petition must be accompanied by supporting documents that justify your request for an excused withdrawal (EW). An EW grade is only assigned if you can provide documentation showing extenuating circumstances that directly affected your ability to complete your course. Examples may include a letter of support from your professor or counselor; a layoff letter showing loss of employment; a current work schedule showing that you are an essential employee and need to work more hours; or medical documentation for therapy, psychological services or other medical treatment.
