Basic Skills Initiative (BSI)
The Basic Skills Initiative (BSI) is a collaborative statewide effort to address the needs of community college students who are academically under-prepared to succeed in their coursework. We invite everyone at De Anza to join in this institutional effort to assist students in reaching their goals. Sincerely, Michele LeBleu-Burns (Campus Co-Chair) & Gregory Anderson (Campus Co-Chair)
Recent Update: December 15, 2008 The BSI steering Committee is in the process of reviewing the 16 submitted proposals. By early January, 2009, we hope to have a list of proposals that we would like to see funded. This list will then be submitted to President Murphy and other senior administrators for their approval.
