CSU Supplemental Application
Some CSU campuses require transfer applicants to complete a supplemental application. Most CSU campuses that require supplemental information will notify transfer applicants in early January (for fall transfers).

UC Transfer Academic Update (TAU)

Transfer applicants must provide final grades from the previous term and list all courses in-progress or planned for the term before transferring to UC. These updates ensure UC campuses have the most current academic information available.

Students who do not have any in-progress or planned courses and whose record of course grades was complete in their original application are still required to log in to your application and complete the Transfer Academic Update. The priority deadline to submit the TAU website is Jan. 31 for transfer in the fall.

Private/Out-of-State Colleges and Universities

Students interested in applying to an independent/private or out-of-state college or university should check each individual college/university website for information about applying. Students may be also able to use The Common Application to submit their application(s) for admission to member institutions.

Locally, in the Bay Area, there are many independent colleges and universities use The Common Application (see ♦ below) to process their admission applications, including the following institutions:

The Common Application offers a common, standardized application form for use at any member college/university. Students can view application fees, general admission requirements as well as get an overview of financial aid, majors and degrees offered, and student life for each prospective member institution.  Additionally, students can also view both online and print versions of college application forms.

Common Black College Application (commonblackcollegeapp.com) Apply Online
The Common Black College Application (CBCA) offers a common, standardized application form to apply to any number of the 50 CBCA member institutions, at the same time, and pay a $35 fee. The list of current CBCA members include California Community College (CCC) Transfer Partner Institutions that participate in the CCC-HBCU Transfer Guarantee Program.  The CBCA creates the potential opportunity for students to receive acceptance letters, financial aid packages and scholarship offers from several different colleges.

Universal College Application (www.universalcollegeapp.com) Apply Online
The Universal College Application is a centralized online application system which allows students to apply to multiple member colleges and universities.  Students can access hard copy forms and links to applicant resources.
