Applied Human Anatomy and Physiology: Levels of Organization


Course Description

This is a survey of human anatomy and physiology with emphasis on the homeostatic limits of the human body. Topics to be discussed include a basic introduction and body organization, the chemical basis of life, the cell and its metabolism, tissues, and the skin.
(This course is especially suited for students planning careers in medical assisting, Licensed Vocational Nursing, education, speech, home economics, psychology, physical education, or recreation.)

BIOL 54G.50Z: This course is a fully online course. This is a 6-week class, from 9/23/2024 through 11/1/2024. This is an online lecture and laboratory class. The lecture and laboratory do not have scheduled meetings and can be completed independently each week on the student's own time. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and and individual email address. Most DeAnza classes will use the Canvas course management system. We recommend a laptop or desktop computer to successfully complete the course; a tablet or phone may not be adequate for all assignments and tests.
