De Anza College is open to anyone age 18 or older who meets one of these requirements:
- Has a high school diploma, high school equivalency (GED), or proficiency certificate *
- Shows evidence of being able to benefit from instruction offered by De Anza
Younger students may attend De Anza as dual-enrolled students if they are currently in grades 9-12 at a California high school and have submitted a permission form signed by their high school principal and parent or guardian. High school students who do not provide required documents will be dropped from their courses.
Adult education students may attend De Anza as dual-enrolled students if they are enrolled in an adult school program administered by a California school district and have authorization from the adult school administrator or counselor.
* If the college has reason to question the validity of a student's high school diploma, the student will be notified that they can continue enrollment but will not qualify for financial aid under the federal Title IV program.
